As a university venue, Galerie de l’UQAM offers a variety of resources for campus faculty and students, and extends them to nearby colleges and universities as well. The programs address issues specific to the field of contemporary art and occasionally cut across other disciplines.

The galleries are ideal for holding seminars or discussion workshops that include direct contact with works of art. Knowledgeable Galerie staff can provide guided tours and activities designed for students of art history, museology and human science disciplines.

All activities are free of charge. For more information, contact Julie Bélisle at belisle.julie@uqam.ca or 514-987-3000, ext. 1424.

Guided tours: Exhibition tours with guides who encourage students to share their perceptions, with a view to acquiring knowledge and developing aesthetic awareness.

Thinkshops: Exhibition visits in the form of discussions that revolve around predefined issues, taking a reflective approach to art and prioritizing interaction with students.

Exhibition space available for lectures or courses: To afford students direct contact with works of art.
