About the collection
Established since UQAM's founding in 1969, thanks to the bequest of the collection of the École des beaux-arts de Montréal, the Collection d'oeuvres d'art de l'UQAM now holds more than 4,000 objects and works of art. It is developped as both a witness to the teaching of the arts and a reflection of current trends in Québec, Canadian and international art.
